We're Daniel and Jackie. This site is the answer to a question our friends kept asking: where should we stay?

Rather than repeat ourselves over text, we started keeping a record. Every hotel, resort and city we've checked off together sits on one rotating globe — 23 stays across 12 countries so far — and each one gets written up properly: the room, the service, the food, the things nobody mentions until you're standing there.

How to read it

The globe on the home page is the whole map. Every country filled in is somewhere we've been, colored by continent; select a pin and it comes round to face you. The destinations page is the same list as an atlas, grouped by country, and the journal is where the long-form entries live.

Where this is going

For now, this is us sharing our travels — a journal, not a storefront. Longer term we're building toward advising on trips properly, which is why we log the detail we do. If you're a friend reading this and planning something, ask us.

The best stay is rarely the most expensive one. It's the one that fit the trip.
